Whether you are a publisher looking for someone to make your books sing off the shelves or a writer looking for professional feedback, I am delighted to offer you my professional editing services. 

I have several years of editing, reviewing, proofreading, and critiquing experience and would be glad to help you or your company on a professional level. My current rates are $2 a page for a content OR a grammatical/proofreading edit, or $3.50 a page for both, with a $25 minimum charge. This price is based on 250 words a page. I prefer electronic editing, but I can edit hardcopy at your request. I have experience with both fiction and nonfiction. And, as a published author, I also know what it's like to be the one whose work is being edited, and I know the value of working with a good editor. 

With a content edit, you'll receive a detailed memo from me regarding the overall structure, pacing, and effect of your piece, with ideas for improvements. A grammatical/proofreading edit is a word-by-word edit, where I will suggest rewording as needed, and correct grammatical, spelling, and typographical errors. If you request both edits, I will perform the content edit first and give you time to make your changes before performing the grammatical/proofreading edit. For $1 a page more, I will perform a final proofread on the entire manuscript once the changes are made.

My foremost goal as an editor is to perfect your text while preserving your style and thoughts as an author. While I will fix errors and offer plenty of suggestions, I will not turn your piece into something you do not want it to be. That is my promise to you as an editor and it is something I take very seriously.
